My Web Development Journey - how it started and how it's going

Before I became a developer, I used to think programming was reserved for smart tech geeks that knew their way around the keyboard. Little did I know that, being the nerd that I am, I could easily become a tech geek as well!

My curiosity was piqued the minute I discovered how programming listings were always recurring on all sorts of online job boards. I didn't quite understand it. Every hour on the hour, a new dev job would rise. I wondered if it was possible to learn how to code and challenge myself with something I never thought I'd want to try in my life. And so it began...

Exactly 7 months ago, I took the leap that will ultimately change my life for the better. I opened The Odin Project website, signed up, and chose a learning path. I never looked back since. Today, I know how to build cool websites (although some aren't complete yet). I understand concepts I never thought I'd grow to love. I enjoy typing away at my keyboard - it makes me feel fulfilled.

While I have not been able to score that first job yet, I am working as best I can to stay ahead of the curve, perfect my basic skills, and learn some of the best and highly demanded technologies. And I'll do it without so much as a second thought or a moment of hesitation. Chances lost are chances wasted. The time is now. "the key to getting ahead is getting started".

What are you waiting for? Learn to code, and never look back!
